Oct. 5 – Old Timer’s Picnic – This annual family event will be held at the Pasco County Fairgrounds, 36722 S.R. 52, in the Madill building. Dinner will be a covered dish/fish fry and attendees are asked to bring a covered dish to share. Organizers will provide fish, beverages, and dinnerware. Serving begins at noon, but attendees are urged to come early. Call Sam Sessa at (352) 588-3553 for information.

Oct. 5 – Gardening 365 – Pasco County’s largest plant festival returns to San Antonio City Park, 12200 Main Street, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Plants from vendors and Master Gardener Volunteers will be available for purchase, along with gardening seminars to help you keep your plants healthy and growing strong. Master Gardener Volunteers will be available to answer all of your plant questions.

Sep. 7 – The Market Place – The event returns with a variety of vendors, crafts, foods and more! The Market place is open to the public from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Hibiscus Park, Seventh Street and Bougainvillea Avenue in front of Dade City Garden Club. THERE WILL BE NO SEPTEMBER CRUISE-IN (Labor Day weekend).
NEXT CRUISE-IN, OCTOBER 5, 2019.
NEW LOCATION: The Cruise In is relocating two blocks to the west of its current location to TJ's Deli (SR 52/Meridian and 9th St.) and the American Legion Hall (right behind TJ's at Church Ave. and 9th St. We will also use the large open (shaded) field across the street from the American Legion Hall on Church Ave.
NEW TIME: Noon - 5 pm. first Saturday each month, October through May.

Sept. 7 – Hummingbirds in the Garden – Learn from an accomplished hummingbird lover and birder how to attract these unique birds to your yard, including species that rarely make Florida their home. This seminar will highlight the best plants, trees and shrubs as well as where to locate them. Also, the importance of feed and water to help you create the perfect hummingbird home. Join members of the UF/IFAS Pasco County Extension at this free seminar, located at 15029 14th St., from 9-10 a.m.

July 24 – Conversational Spanish/English – The class will be held from 6:15-7:45 p.m. at Hugh Embry Library, 14215 Fourth Street. Both English speakers and Spanish speakers are welcome to this class.
July 26 – Basic Sewing Class for Kids – The class will be held from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Hugh Embry Library, 14215 Fourth Street. Learn the basics of sewing in this class. We have the sewing machines and material, but you must call (352) 567-3576 to register.
July 31 -- 6 pm NEPCC Town Hall Meeting, at First Presbyterian Church, Dade City. Not sponsored by the Church, just using their facilities. Public discussion about developments and events in NE Pasco Rural Protected Area.
