Crackers in the Scrub at Sept. 18

Miles Plowden, III will present Crackers in the Scrub at Sept. 18, 2009 meeting of Pasco County Historical Society

The next meeting of the Pasco County Historical Society is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept 18th at the American Legion Hall, 37745 Church Ave. in Dade City.

Florida native, professional storyteller and historian, Miles H. Plowden, III was born in Frostproof, Florida, and moved with his family to Winter Haven, Florida where he grew up. His love of history originated through the many real-life stories his grandfather, Steadman Jackson, shared with the young Plowden. This will be GREAT.

A covered-dish dinner always precedes the program, so bring something special to share. Also, please bring your own table-service and drink.

Plan to be there for what will undoubtedly be a very interesting program. Invite a friend. We’d love to have you as a member if you have not already joined. Family membership is $10 per year, individuals are $5.

Remember, you are encouraged to bring guests. For additional information you may call Eddie Herrmann, (352) 567-2050, or, Glen Thompson, (352) 567-7449.
