On the WITHLACOOCHEE STATE TRAIL

Location: The ride/run will begin in at the Trilby Community Center at the Trilby Road (CR 575) and Trail crossing.   Mapquest locates it at 37542 Trilby Rd, Dade City, FL, 33523.

Parking:  Parking is available in the Trilby Area at the Greater Trilby Community Center, the Trilby trail crossing, the Trilby Depot Park, or at the Owensboro Junction (southern terminus of the Withlacoochee Trail at US 301.) 

Start time: 7:00 am, 8:00 am (no mass starts).  Rain or Shine.

Entry Fee: We are asking for a $30 donation entry fee.  Children under 14 must have adult supervision to participate.

T-Shirts: Riders/Runners who pre-register before January 20. 2008 will receive a "Tour de Trilby" T-shirt with our First Annual GTCA Theme.  The ones who pre-register will get a Country Pancake Breakfast with the $30 donation fee from 6 am to 7a.m on the ride/run day.

Distance: Intermediate and advanced riders will start at 7:00 am and amateurs at 8:00 am.  The trail is a 47 mile long one-way trip for pros (94 miles round trip from Trilby to Dunnellon, above Inverness in Citrus County.)   A 10 mile round trip from Trilby to The Ridge Manor / SR50 Pavilion is good for amateurs or regular riders/runners.

SAG Stations:  (Support Aid Group)We will have people at stops for bottle water at three points on the southern half of the trail. After Wallace Brook Park (40 miles) we expect the pros to have sufficient supplies prepared for themselves.
